New Zealand Flag
Adopted 1902
The New Zealand Flag is comprised of a British Blue Ensign (with the Union
Jack) recalling New Zealand's colonial ties with the United Kingdom. This
is married with a stylized version of the Southern Cross. The Southern
Cross is a notable constellation prominent in the sky of the Southern
Hemisphere.
The stars are red with white boarders and all vary in size slightly.
