Flag Adopted 1919 Often shown with the coat of arms of Poland (a red eagle on a white background) the colors of this flag are based on the Polish national colors established as red and white in 1831. Before the Solidarity movement took over in Poland in 1989, the colors of this flag were explained as the peoples desire for peace and socialism. |
